Where can I find printed lyrics to songs from the show?

Lyrics for songs from Jekyll can be found in the liner notes for the albums on which they appear. This is true for all of the English-language recordings of the show.

Where can I get recordings of the show?

The Highlights, the Complete Work and the Original Broadway Cast Recording should each be available at local and online record stores. They may also appear in used CD sections or stores...keep an eye out for those bargains!

SPECIAL NOTE TO PURCHASERS OF THE COMPLETE WORK: The box that the Complete Work comes in is remarkably similar whether you are purchasing the double cassette or double CD version. So similar that some stores mis-stock them. Be sure that you aren't paying CD prices for the double cassette - watch that fine print! - (It is fairly easy to tell from the back of the package - whether it is listing the songs from 2 CDs or 4 sides of cassettes.)

For the international recordings, you will probaly need to find a store that regularly handles import albums, and you shouldn't be surprised if the prices are higher as a result. Some of the shops that specialize in musicals and imports include Footlight Records (New York, US), Dress Circle (London, England), and Sound Of Music (Essen, Germany).

Purchasing links for many of the albums are included on the Recordings Page.

Will a recording be released, featuring Jack Wagner or Sebastian Bach?

Many fans have asked if a recording is available, or may become available, from the Broadway performances of Jack Wagner or Sebastian Bach. Unfortunately, no recording was made with either of these leading men, and none will be released.

Are karaoke albums available for the show?

Yes there are. Details on some of the karaoke albums can be found on the Recordings page. Or try a web search for additional offerings.

What's this I hear about different Australian recordings of the show?

There are several different albums that have been released in Australia, and one that wasn't, for Jekyll. Here's the scoop...

First, the Complete Work Recording was created, with Australian singer Anthony Warlow in the title roles. Everywhere in the world except for Australia got one release of this 2-CD set.

There is also an Australian release of the Complete Work, with a different cover and a bonus track. The Australian cover art announces it as "Anthony Warlow is Jekyll & Hyde." The album includes a pop rendition of "Someone Like You" sung by Linda Eder.

Then (actually, preceding the release of the 2-CD set), there was a Highlights disc... a single CD with 20 selections from the Complete Work, and another cover announcing "Anthony Warlow is Jekyll & Hyde." Of these two albums, this is currently the easiest to track down.

Finally, there was a single released of Anthony Warlow's "This Is The Moment," paired with Linda's "Someone Like You" - both are the exact tracks used on the Complete Work, and not pop renditions of those songs.

At one point, a production was being planned in Australia, and a promotional album was recorded and sent out to stores featuring the leads in the show (Simon Burke was Jekyll & Hyde). The production was cancelled and the album was recalled, but a few copies still got out (allowing it to continue to create confusion ever since). When you get right down to it, this album doesn't really, legally exist. So it's best to forget about this one.

Have other people performed and recorded this stuff?

Absolutely! Songs from J&H have been performed worldwide in a wide variety of settings. "Someone Like You," "A New Life" and "This is the Moment" have been heard at the Olympic Games, the Super Bowl, the World Series, the WNBA Championships, and Miss America Pageants.

These songs and others from the show can be found on numerous albums as well. Try searching on a song title or two at an online retailer or music site, and see what you can find.

Where can I get sheet music for songs from the show?

Over the years, several J&H piano/vocal/guitar selection books have become available. Individual sheet music can also be purchased for "A New Life," "Letting Go," "Someone Like You" and "This is the Moment."

How do I find out of print songbooks?

The songbooks for the Highlights and Complete Works albums are both out of print, which means they can be rather difficult to find. Your best chances are to watch online auctions or used sheet music sources for these. You might also take a look at the songbook titled "The World Of Jekyll & Hyde," which is available, and includes many of the older songs from the show.

Is a full score of the show available?

The full score of Jekyll has not been published and released on the market. It is only available in connection with licensing and producing the show. Scores for select songs are available, as outlined in the next answer. If further scores from the show become available, an update will be posted to this website.

There is. Jekyll was recorded at the end of its run at the Plymouth Theater (starring David Hasselhoff, Coleen Sexton and Andrea Rivette). This was aired on pay-per-view, and then released on video and DVD. For more details, visit the Broadway Video page.

Will there be another video or DVD release of Jekyll?

The Original Broadway Cast (featuring Robert Cuccioli, Linda Eder, Christiane Noll) and other Broadway Casts (featuring Rob Evan, Jack Wagner, Sebastian Bach, Luba Mason and Anastasia Barzee) were not recorded. There are no plans at present to release another video recorded from a staged production of the show.
